What if AI isn’t neutral?
Does it have a moral compass and who gave it one?
This short project explores how three ethical frameworks, Utilitarianism, Kantian Ethics, and Nihilism might shape the design of something as familiar as a car.
By asking An LLM (ChatGPT) to think like each philosophy and describe its ideal vehicle, then visualizing the results, the project reveals how values subtly shape design.
From the stripped-down logic of a utilitarian car to the chaotic humor of a nihilist one, morality becomes a design system and raises a bigger question:
Who’s really designing our tools, and what values drive them?
In the end, it’s less about what we ask AI, and more about how we guide it to answer.
